Legal basis for processing:

  • Consent of the data subject to manage the sending of information on events, courses, and activities organized by IRTA, as well as to manage the job bank.

  • Necessity to execute a contract for managing registrations to sessions, conferences, or training activities, and the sending of the newsletter and other bulletins or publications from IRTA.

IRTA, as the data controller of the website, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April on the protection of individuals regarding the processing of personal data (hereinafter, GDPR), and Law 34/2002 of 11 July on information society services and electronic commerce (LSSICE), informs you that it has implemented the necessary technical and organizational security measures to guarantee and protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the data provided.

 

Purpose of processing

Your personal data will only be used for the following purposes, depending on the website functionalities with which you have interacted and for which you have provided your data:

  • Manage the sending of information on the newsletter, other bulletins or publications, events, activities, and information from IRTA, either electronically or by conventional mail.

  • Manage the sending of information and registrations to sessions, conferences, or training activities.

Your personal data will not be processed for any purpose other than those described here, except in cases of legal obligation or judicial requirement.

 

Duration

  • Data related to point a) above will be kept as long as the data subject does not request their cancellation.

  • Data related to point b) above will be kept for the time necessary to carry out the activity.

 

Lawful basis for processing

The legal basis for processing is the consent of the data subject and, where applicable, the provision of a service.

 

Where information is stored

The information provided is stored on IRTA servers or on servers of service providers and data processors located in the European Union or covered by the Privacy Shield.

 

Disclosure and transfer

The data provided may be disclosed to public sector organizations of the Generalitat and to data processors (such as service providers: communication delivery services, courier services, agencies, similar audience generation services, etc.), including companies in the EU.

International transfers outside the EU may also occur, in accordance with the authorization and prior notification regime established by current regulations:

  • To countries or companies recognized by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of protection; or

  • To countries that do not offer adequate protection, provided that transfers are governed by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

 

Rights of data subjects

You may exercise the following rights before IRTA by sending a written request to the postal address indicated above or by emailing dpo@irta.cat, attaching a copy of your ID card or any other legally valid equivalent document:

  • Right of access: know and obtain information about your personal data being processed.

  • Right to rectification or erasure: correct errors and modify inaccurate or incomplete data.

  • Right to cancellation: delete data that is inadequate or excessive.

  • Right to object: request that your personal data not be processed or that processing be stopped.

  • Restriction of processing: marking of stored personal data to limit future processing.

  • Data portability: receive the personal data being processed in order to transmit it to another controller without hindrance.

  • Right not to be subject to automated individual decisions without your consent (including profiling).

  • Right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing that produces effects or significantly affects you.

  • Right to withdraw consent at any time.

The data subject also has the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority if they believe their rights regarding data protection have been violated.

 

Security

In response to the trust placed in us and considering the importance of protecting and safeguarding user data, IRTA informs you that it has adopted all the necessary technical and organizational measures to ensure data security, as required by current regulations governing the security of files containing personal data.
